Professional Photographer Policy

We are proud of our property and happy that people enjoy visiting. Please remember that this is a historical park open to the public and we would like all to enjoy it.

Leave the park in the condition that you found it. If you do not comply with these rules and regulations, you will be asked to leave.
  • All scheduled Events & Activities orchestrated by the Palmetto Historical Park and Manatee County Agricultural Museum take precedence over your photoshoot. We strongly recommend contacting either organization (contact information listed below) to assure availability of the property. If there are other scheduled events you will be asked to return at another time. This also includes paid rentals of the Park grounds by an individual.
  • Stay out of the flower beds and do not pick flowers, fruits, or vegetables growing in the garden.
  • Do not sit or stand on artifacts on the property.
  • Do not move any functional or decorative items on the grounds.
  • Props can be brought in, but must be removed when the photoshoot is over. We reserve the right to dispose of any items left behind.
  • Professional photo shoots are not permitted inside of the buildings (except for rentals).
  • Do not bring any materials onto the property that could leave waste or residue, such as paint or glitter.
  • Do not block entrances to buildings or pathways.
  • Do not hang, drape, or leave items on benches, trees, walls, artifacts, porches, or railings.
  • Smoking, vaping, and alcohol are never allowed on Palmetto Historical Park property.
