Palmetto’s Heritage Festival

You're invited to Palmetto's Heritage Festival! Free family-friendly event. Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 10 AM - 1 PM at Palmetto Historical Park and Manatee County Agricultural Museum. No reservations required! Send mail from our 1880 Heritage Station Post Office! Tour all 7 on-site buildings in a historic open house. Complete heritage crafts and activities that are fun for visitors of all ages.

​Attend this FREE, family-friendly event to immerse yourself in local history!​

Bring the whole family for a day of hands-on, historic fun at the Manatee County Agricultural Museum & Palmetto Historical Park!

​Event Details:

  • When: Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 10 AM – 1 PM
  • Where: 515 10th Ave W, Palmetto, FL, 34221
  • Who: All ages welcome
  • No reservations required!
Activities Available:
  • Send mail from our 1880 Heritage Station Post Office!
    • This historic post office will be operational with a ONE-DAY-ONLY cancellation stamp designed by a local student artist. Bring your stamped mail to send or write a letter and buy a stamp on-site.
  • Take a self-guided tour of all 7 on-site buildings in a historic open house.
    • Buildings include a historic Carnegie library, post office, schoolhouse, cottage, church, military museum, and agricultural museum.
    • Palmetto Historical Park’s regular 2 PM tour will not be available.​
  • Complete heritage crafts and activities that are fun for visitors of all ages.
  • Talk with local outreach organizations who will be positioned throughout the park with information and activities.
