This is the one day a year that our 1880 Heritage Station is a working post office! All outgoing mail gets a special commemorative cancellation designed by a local artist. Hands-on activities for all ages, tours of historical buildings, and special exhibits.

Special Occasions throughout the year
Watch our social media for updates to our Grab-N-Go program! On special occasions, free craft and activity kits are available at a designated location in Palmetto Historical Park. Stop by the park to take one home at whatever time works best for your schedule! While you’re here, take a stroll through the park grounds to enjoy our seasonal decorations and photo ops.

1st Friday & Saturday of December
*Reservation Required* Free family festival with reindeer games, Christmas crafts, and more. Book a private visit with Santa Clause himself! Children of all ages can write a letter to Santa, mail it in our 1880 Post Office, and Santa will write them back!

2nd Week of December
*Reservation Required* Schedule a special holiday season guided tour of our historic buildings, and take in the festive ambiance of the beautiful Christmas decorations throughout the Park.
