Strawberry Girl

Our curator brings the backwoods to life in chapter-by-chapter video readings of Strawberry Girl by Lois Lenski (with permission of Harper Collins Children's Books). The author made a point to record the “flavorsome speech” of the Florida cracker, so it is especially fun to follow along in the book while our curator reads in different accents!
Borrow a physical copy of the book from the Palmetto Historical Park's "History To-Go" program. The Handkerchief Doll Craft would also be a great activity to go along with this classic story.
